Where The FNaF Archive Goes From Here

By Retroity · June 12, 2020

It’s been a very long time since The FNaF Archive has last gotten a major update. I’ve been maintaining the site and adding new teasers and trailers when they release, but I haven’t added any of the new features that I promised long ago, such as the browsable archive of Scott’s old websites, the archive of Scott’s old games, etc. All of these were announced as planned in the 2018 year in review and have yet to be added to the site.

To tell you the truth, I’ve pretty much lost most of my interest in FNaF. It’s because of this that most of these features were basically put permanently on the backburner. However, I’ve come to realize again that there are many people who value this site, and how many people use it as a resource for all sorts of things, whether it be researching a theory, going on a nostalgia trip, or the materials archived here for their own projects. For those people who use and enjoy this site, thank you. I’m so glad I’ve created something that’s useful or valuable to you.

So what’s next? Well, I’m going to try to implement the features that I promised way back in the 2018 year in review. When they will actually arrive on the site I can’t say for certain. I’ve been busy with other matters (online and offline) and any interest that I still have in FNaF comes and goes. But I’m going to try my best to see to it that they are added.

What comes after all these features I promised long ago are added, I don’t know. Maybe I’ll keep expanding the archive. Maybe I’ll just stop and put the site into “maintenance only” and only add new content as it comes in instead of trying to make any further major changes. I don’t know. Despite what I end up doing though, The FNaF Archive is not going anywhere. I intend for it to be around for years to come as a comprehensive resource of FNaF media. (Besides, The FNaF Archive’s hosting currently costs very little)

If you have any feedback or suggestions for how I could expand The FNaF Archive, or any questions about The FNaF Archive, please let me know in this thread I posted on /r/FiveNightsAtFreddys. Once again, a huge thank you to everyone for enjoying this site. I hope that I can make it even better in the future.
